  • The key to a good silage inoculant is the right bacteria added, at the right level. SILA-MAX provides the right bacteria at the right level to insure that your silage inoculant gets fermentation started in the right direction. We have the program to fit your needs.

  • SILA-MAX supplies a concentrated source of unique silage fermentation micro-organisms. This source is a stabilized concentrate of Lactobacillus Plantarum, Pediococcus Acidllactici, Enterococcus Faecium, and Propionic Bacteria.

  • GENETICALLY SELECTED STRAINS:

  • The micro-organisms in SILA-MAX are essential in making a quality silage product. They are homofermentative organisms that produce mainly lactic acid. These organisms have a rapid growth rate which allows for a quick, clean fermentation. The rapid production of lactic acid is essential in maximizing the preservation of nutrients in the ensiled forage.

  • The particular strains of micro-organisms in SILA-MAX were chosen for their unique ability to grow and reproduce rapidly in silage. They also produce lactic acid under an extremely wide range of moistures and carbohydrates (sugars) availability. In numerous university tests, they beat out the best strains available in lactic acid production and pH reduction.

  • RIGHT NUMBER OF BACTERIA:

  • SILA-MAX contains concentrated sources of lactic acid bacteria.

  • SILA-MAX contains 100 billion CFU/gram. When applied at the rate of 9.0 grams per ton of forage, SILA-MAX will supply over 150,000 CFU lactic acid bacteria per gram of forage.     DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • The amount of water can vary from one gallon (128 oz) of water to one quart (32 oz) of water per ton. We prefer the higher amount of water to ensure maximum coverage. Make sure package treats 200 tons of forage. Do not use chlorinated water.

  • CONCENTRATION:

  • At the above usage rate, you will have 150,000 CFU per gram of crop.
