FIRST PULSE™D is a nutritional supplement for use in nursing and weaning pigs:

Identification of target pigs:

• Any unthrifty piglet under 3 lb. birth weight. (Target 1-2 pigs/litter)
• Day 3 post-farrowing fallbacks. (Target average of <1 pig per litter in a farrowing room)
• Any small piglets relocated to a nurse sow.
• Any piglets transferred to a milk deck.

Directions for Use:

• Low Viability Piglet: 2 cc Day 1 post-farrowing
• Fall Back Piglet: 2 cc Day 3 post-farrowing
• Milk Deck Piglet: 2 cc on pig placement into Decks

Administration to pigs:

• Orally drench piglets using drench gun or oral syringe--This is NOT an injectable product.
• Hold piglet behind ears,
• Place silver tube of syringe on the tongue near the back of the mouth,
• Squeeze 2 cc of liquid First Pulse D onto the tongue, giving the pig adequate time to swallow the liquid.
• If piglet has difficult time swallowing 2 cc's, reset syringe to 1 cc dosage and administer in two doses.
